Art Pieces

By Alexandre Barthet

Art is one of Alexandre’s great passions: a medium through which he expresses himself and draws inspiration for his headpieces. His artistic sensibility is deeply intertwined with his design approach, creating a natural dialogue between art and fashion..

Our Story

Beyond millinery, Alexandre Barthet pursues a personal artistic path, working across painting, photography, and mixed media. For him, art is a space of exploration where intuition, gesture, and observation come together to form a distinct visual language. His canvases echo with bold textures and expressive strokes, while his photographs often capture light, shadow, and fleeting moments with a painter’s sensibility.

His artistic practice has been shared through several exhibitions and auctions. He collaborated in the retrospective “Jean Barthet, le prince des chapeaux” at the Maison Carrée de Nay, curating photographs, drawings, and archives that celebrated both heritage and contemporary reinterpretation. His photographic works have also appeared in prestigious gallery contexts and auction houses, such as Blanchet & Associés and Debaecque, where pieces like Sophia Loren, Chapeau Barthet, and untitled photographic prints have been exhibited and sold.

Whether in front of a canvas, behind the camera, or curating archival memory, Alexandre’s artistic output reflects the same curiosity and instinct that guide his design work. Art, for him, is not separate from creation—it is the foundation of a broader vision where fashion, memory, and image converge.
